Hi all. I have seen quite a few mentions of silicone tape to wear under a mono top part. Can someone give me a full product description? These sorts of items are not generally available in New Zealand, but I would like to track it down. Thanks :-)

Am curious if it’s flesh colored?

From what I understand it is closer to white. Good for under a part in a mono top wig - makes the part more prominent.

the silicon is sold on wigs dot com. I've never bought any but one of the ladies here who had lost all if her hair loved it. I think it keeps the wig from slipping when there is no hair.

I think the silicone sheets are different from the silicone tape - but I could be wrong. They do serve a different purpose. The silicone sheets are to keep the hair from slipping and I believe only work for people who have no hair in that area.

The silicone tape - white I think - is supposed to make the part more prominent and there for more naturally looking like your scalp and is more useful for those of us who have hair underneath.

Different uses for sure. Not certain whether you can use one for the other. Silicone tape is available on Amazon - and I believe that the color is white. I have not tried it yet but plan to get some of the tape.

Thanks ladies. I was hoping for a more full description so I could try and source it locally (in New Zealand). Chances are it will not be a common item in pharmacies here so would need to be ordered in from a medical supplier.
