I recall a few posts about how to pick out hair from your wig to create a visible part. Any ideas where I can learn how to do it?

Well, you would basically part the wig where you wanted and use a tweezer to carefully pluck out the hairs, i also suggest CVS Mepitac tape underneath to give a look of scalp. I use that on my lace-front-only wigs.

Thanks for the tips. Will give it a try with an old wig first!

Does the Mepitac tape help keep the wigs in place? Looks interesting. I'm always looking for non-slip products.

Not at all...it just provides a generic 'flesh color' underneath to look more like you're seeing scalp at the part.

Jnc, I’ve experimented with Got2b glue, It Stays and a velveteen wig grip. I prefer the velveteen wig grip, but my daughter prefers the It Stays. I don’t have an occipital ridge, but Bobby pin the back of the grip to my bio hair. She likes the It Stays because it secures the front lace well, is water sociable and very easy to use and remove. Got2b glue is more for those who want to wear their wigs 24-7 and not remove at night.
