Yes it certainly does. I remember you chatting about her, and the Razberry color, which I thought was beautiful. I have her her in coffee latte. I wore Reese for a long time in the same color. Loved the Reese, not so much Cameron.
Another thing we have in common is I really enjoy curls, and the messier the better. I also wore my hair curly and long back in my day:)
    Happy Thanksgiving

I do the same when cooking and, especially when company is coming, I alert my husband that he is on oven duty. LOL!
I do use softener on my wigs, but Ive never tried Woolite. I like nice smelling products so I will definitely give it a try.
    Thanks for the tips.

animallover, Im really glad to hear. Now Im anxious to reorder my girl:)
Question(s) What does Woollte do that wig shampoo doesn't.
Which dry shampoo do you use and is it alcohol based?
One thing that concerns me is when dining out and being seated next to a heater...zowza. I know, I know, so many more important things to worry about, right:)
But I have to protect my girls.

animallover, just checking in to ask if you are still liking Fresh Chic? I really hope so:)
    Couple questions for ya!
How long do you wear a wig before making the decision to keep it? When you try it on do you wear a wig cap? If so does the wig still fit you comfortably, or is it snug?

Thank you for letting me know. I am so
pleased to hear this and very Happy for you too. That means there is hope for me...right. Do you mind sharing your head measurement, please?
Do you find FC to be less dense than ST?
I did. What color did you get her in?
    Thanks again.

    Animallover,
So I tried "FreshChic" on one last time. Still too tight for me:(
I did speak with a rep at the company, and she said that while Gabor's wigs are considered to be a "regular" in size this one could be on the lower end of that measurement. I measure 23"
and the adjustments did not open at all. I will return her, and wait for awhile then reorder the Fresh Chic.
I Have several Charlottes by TressAllure, and each one is different in size. However, I can adjust them to fit. Cant do that with this one.
So it could simply be this batch of FC's. I will wait a couple months and try for her again.
I also wanted to say that contrary to a few videos I've watched Fresh Chic is less dense than ST. At least this one is..lol. With that FC looks just like the pictures and video's. Very pretty, the curls and fiber are nice and soft.

If you order FC Please let me know if she works for you and your thoughts.
    I truly appreciate your feedback.

Elizabeth, thanks so much for such a rapid response:) I appreciate the information on sizing.
Yes I did try it on a few times albeit with a hair cap. I did release the adjustable straps, and it didn't give at all. The ear tabs were too far above my ears.
I have several Charlottes by TressAllure(?) and they are around 22" and when I make the adjustment they fit fine. And I can wear it all day.
I do like the Fresh Chic. The fiber and curls are very pretty. It's simply too tight.

Thanks so much. I will let you know what the company says about the size. It is so small that I am wondering if it is a petite?? I dunno. But I’ll keep you posted.
What styles do you prefer? Curly, straight, short, long? Or all of the above:)
  • Extra Large Wigs for Women
    Hello everyone. I need help!
I recently purchased Fresh Chic by Gabor, and it arrived yesterday...yea. I was really excited to get it and so quickly. I put a lotta time in researching the style, color, and I own Sweet Talk, which I love. So I felt pretty confident all would be fine.
HAHAAH! I could tell even without trying it on that this wig was gonna be too small. Oh my! When I finally managed to get it on it nearly popped off my head. I do have a "big head." Measures 23" inches, but come on people. Where's the consistency.

So I am asking y'all for help...PLEASE! Who is the most consistent in all areas of wig making??
ANY and all input will be greatly appreciated

  • Noriko vs Amore vs Rene of Paris
I live on the Central Coast in CA, but inland a few miles. Still it can get hot here, but not like the south. Low humidity.
Thank you both for your comments. It's always uplifting to hear not only what y'all are wearing, but your sharing your experience and thoughts truly helps me to navigate the other hair world.

Thanks Tav. I remember you sharing. It’s really cute.
You mentioned awhile back that you have Sweet Talk, but had not worn it. So have you? If so what is your opinion?
Im struggling with finding a wig that is both stylish and comfortable enough to wear all day and in to the evening.
I could go back to toppers but I truly like the look and ease of wigs.
    Oh the horrors.
It’s kinda like finding the perfect fitting bra, right:)

Has anyone purchased "Turn" by ellen Wille? Is it part of the Hair Society that Tav mentions above?
If so. how would you compare it to "Sweet Talk" by Gabor?
    All info is appreciated:)

    HairLove, welcome to the Forum.
You are a delight to read and Im sure a true joy to know.
I did read your story and it brought a smile to my face. Projection personified:)

I dont have an answer about the "mechanics" of this forum, but I am positive someone will share their expert knowledge...seriously.
My limited experience with this blog is that Kindness rules. And you seem to have that in abundance.
I look forward to hearing more from you.

Yes, I feel your pain and share in your frustration.
I have learned to read the fine print, over and over before placing my order.
However, I call to place my order. I know there are some online companies that do not provide this option. So I wont do business with them.
Pattis' Pearls, and Wigs.com do have "real life" folks who are very good at helping their customer (that's you and me:) achieve our goal. Which is to simplify the process, and buy a hairpiece that we want to keep Therefore, keep us coming back to buy more.

  • Wig Brush
    Hey y’all,
Im not to proud to say “I stand corrected” on the subject of brushes. Probably on a lot of other subjects also, however, I bow to your experience.
    Thanks
  • Wig Brush
Yep! That’s for sure. Do not brush synthetic wigs. And only finger comb when it is damp or wet.

    Hi Tav!
Thanks for replying. I received a video via email from wigs.com, advertising a little promo on wig styling, etc. So I decided, what the heck I would spend 10 minutes and see what I could learn. Nothing!! The hairdresser could not complete a sentence. He seemed more interested in styling his own hair, and checking the mirror. I don't think he had a grasp on where the camera was, and that he had a live audience other than the person in the mirror.
The "model" was articulate and interactive with the camera the supposed audience. I think she did a decent job of covering for him. But I had to end it early before my forehead hit the desk in total frustration.
Maybe it was an off day for me:( I will admit patience is not one of my virtues.

Hey y'al, for two weeks now there hasn't been a single comment or question.
    Everyone's "issues" are fixed:)
There was a video online by wigs.com . Did anyone watch it?
    Thoughts?

    Hi Tav, it's me again...Linda.
Do you have fresh Chic? If so how does it compare to Sweet Talk?
Please, anyone can weigh in here.
Also on the model showcasing Fresh Chic at wigs.com, what color is she wearing?
I want another Sweet Talk but I want it in a medium brown with highlights, especially around the face. Gabor's color Hazelnut is just too blended as some of her medium browns are. Too me they are more blond than a brown/blond mix.
    Thanks.

    Thanks Tav!
Actually I did receive an email from you prior to this one with a similar “evaluation:)”
Im not sure why it would be disapproved of. Its a blog which provides an opportunity for sharing pros and cons of wigs. Its information we need to save a lotta frustration on our part, the customer. Informed and knowledgeable customers make for happy customers. Happy customers equals repeat customers.
Your input has helped me a lot. And I will be buying another Sweet Talk from wigs. Com because of our conversations.
    I look forward to more.

Cysterwigs and Taz have videos about permatease. Both are insightful and have helped me to be more comfortable wearing wigs with permatease.
Remember the days when we "ratted" our hair. Well there is a way to hide that pesky nest look while still maintaining the integrity of design and style.
